I move on from coffee, to sweet pancakes filled with jellies. Yum.

Barbara and I head out for breakfast. The Kedai Kopi look just like the little restaurants in China, except with chairs instead of squat stools and short tables. Coffee with sweetened condensed milk here I come!

Our group enjoys their first meal together. Biryanis at a banana leaf restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. We practice smooshing rice together with the fingers of our right hand.

The Trip Begins...

28 hours after leaving my house, I arrive in Kuala Lumpur! Woohoo only 4 hours to go until I get to KK. KLIA isn't as impressive as the Hong Kong airport, but still a maze of windows, electronics and confused tourists.

The Trip Begins..

Off on the extended journey to Borneo. The plane awaits! Magically, the inflight crew, the air traffic controllers, the ground crew, the gate, the food, the fuel and the mechanics all cooperate and we're off on time! Only the second time in a year that one of my flights has been on time. Newark isn't Philly!

Back from Malaysia

Back from Malaysia and this whole blog thing appears to be the easiest way to share photos and chat with travel friends. So, a blogger I shall become. I wouldn't quite call myself a luddite, but I'm no technophile either. Bear with my blogging mishaps, shoddy html and general oddities.
